Why This Matters
This is a revision week, not a new-content week. Everything you've built across Weeks 1–5 — story, argument, audience awareness, engagement, rhetorical craft — now gets assembled and pressure-tested as one complete manuscript before you submit it to the gate.

Suggested pace: about a week. This lesson works best across a few short sessions, not one sitting — write today, come back and revise in a day or two, then rehearse once more before you submit. Real progress comes from returning to the same skill more than once, rested, not from cramming it all in at once.
This Week's Exercise
Day 1–2 Start Here — Reflect
Before you edit anything, read the full manuscript once purely as a listener would experience it — no red pen, no fixing, just noticing. Where did your attention drift? That's data, not a distraction.
Day 3 Draft & Rehearse
Read your full manuscript straight through, out loud, without stopping to fix anything — just notice where you stumble, rush, or lose the thread.
Go back and address every place you stumbled. If you tripped over a sentence twice, the sentence is the problem, not you.
Check your opening and closing lines against each other — do they speak to the same idea? A strong close often echoes the open.
Submit the manuscript to the Level 2 gate. If it doesn't clear the threshold, the coaching feedback will tell you exactly which category to revisit — treat that as the next draft, not a failure.
Day 4–5 Go Deeper & Rehearse Once More
For every place you stumbled, don't just smooth the sentence — ask why it was hard to say. Often it's because the idea itself wasn't fully resolved yet, not just the wording. Fix the thinking, not just the phrasing, wherever that's true.
Day 6 Before You Move On
Does my opening and closing echo the same core idea?
Did I fix every stumble at the level of thinking, not just wording?
Am I actually ready to submit this, or am I submitting out of impatience rather than readiness?
Day 7 Coach's Note — Patricia Fripp: Precision isn't about adding more — it's about removing everything that isn't earning its place. Read every sentence and ask: does this need to be here, or am I just comfortable with it? Cut what you're only comfortable with.
